Hoops McCann (Cusack, Stand by Me) - terrible name - and his best friend George (Murray, God Bless America) head out to Nantucket where Hoops searches for love. They rescue a girl named Cassandra (Moore, About Last Night...) from a gang of bikers, and meet all sorts of other crazies on the island. Cassandra must save her grandfather's house from being taken over by an avaricious and snobby Nantucket family by trying to jump-start a fledgling singing career.

Truly a horrible comedy, with tasteless gags galore and shamelessly untalented actors. I guess no movie that features Bobcat Goldthwait (Police Academy 2, 3) in a prominent role can ever be good, but this one still disappointed considering it had the same actor and director from the superior Better Off Dead.

Cheesy music, unappealing characters, a threadbare and uninteresting plot, and some poor directing cripple any chance this film has to even be tolerable. Only Cusack and some decent animation sequences keep this from getting the lowest rating.
